Launched in November 2007 and located on the South West Coast of Mauritius at Bel Ombre, Tamassa is a brand new 4-star resort offering a relaxed atmosphere. Ideal for lively incentive and conference groups, Tamassa
is colourful and vibrant with plenty of Mauritian “Joie de Vivre”.

From the minute guests arrive at the entrance of Tamassa, they know their stay will be something special.
November 2007 saw the opening of this luxury resort, situated on the edge of a long powder soft beach. It has the atmosphere and warmth that you would expect from a project that has cost over £25 million to complete.
The décor in the standard rooms is strikingly attractive, with pure, simple lines contrasting with bright touches on the bedspreads and large images of exotic flowers above the headboard and elsewhere in the room.
All of the rooms have their own terrace or balcony with stunning sea views and are furnished with elegant, cane seating. All are air-conditioned and the elegant bathrooms have a bath, a separate shower and separate toilets.
The Superior and Deluxe rooms offer all this plus little added extras that really make your stay even more enjoyable. A sense of spaciousness is created by the clever interior design so that even from the shower, there are views beyond the bedroom and the terrace to the golden bay and turquoise waters or the beautifully landscaped gardens.
For those looking for an adventurous incentive there are a large selection of complimentary water sports onsite including windsurfing, pedal boats, kayaks, sailing, snorkelling, glass bottom boat rides and water-skiing. For a small fee there are also speedboat rides, diving (PADI) and deep-sea fishing.
Or, if you prefer to keep your feet firmly on dry land there is a gym, beach volleyball, aqua gym, stretching classes, table tennis, bocciball and two floodlit tennis courts to keep you amused. For any keen golfers, there is a challenging 18-hole golf course next to the hotel.
If this all seems slightly too energetic, then take advantage of the spa that has been created in gentle shades of green and khaki, to blend in harmoniously with the wood and the surrounding greenery.
The spa has eight treatment rooms (six double), a 12m long pool, a whirlpool, a sauna, a hammam , two changing rooms, a hairdressing parlour and a beauty salon, which provide beauty care and massages. The six double treatment rooms all have a private garden outside.
If work brings you to Tamassa, then even your conference will be held in luxury. The air-conditioned conference room can hold up to 90 people seated cinema-style. Standard audio- visual material is available on a complimentary basis to hotel guests and includes the WIFI coverage, a 35mm slide projector, an overhead projector, a video and cassette system, a DVD player, a microphone, a flip chart, a video projector, a lectern and a wall-mounted screen. Other equipment can be obtained on request.
The rooms are spacious and elegantly designed and the grounds have been designed with strong influences from colonial times, which makes great use of the beautiful setting. Views throughout the grounds of the sea in front of the hotel and the dramatic mountain ranges inland can't help but take your breath away.
Private dining and themed parties can be arranged for your incentive groups, reflecting the melting pot of cultures that is Mauritius – from Indian & African parties to a traditional Mauritian Sega night. Tamassa offers you everything you could wish for a true Mauritian experience.
