Fishmore Hall is a fine Georgian property overlooking Ludlow town and with views across Shropshire countryside. Overlooking the charming town of Ludlow, Fishmore Hall is a recently-renovated Georgian property which has been transformed by Laura Penman into a luxurious boutique hotel. In just over 5 months, this derelict building was overhauled, converting it back into its former glory and it opened to the public in October 2007.

The handsome proportions and large sash windows, which look out over delightful Shropshire countryside and Clee Hill in the distance, blend with a contemporary-styled décor. King sized beds can be made up to the guests’ requirements and all the spacious rooms have modern bathrooms or wet rooms. On booking, guests can also add to their staying experience by selecting wines and Champagnes, flowers, chocolates even tickets to local sightseeing properties, which will be waiting in their arrival.

The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back – a 21st century country house party – giving guests the chance to relish the wonderful two-rosette restaurant which prides itself on sourcing the ingredients for its innovative menus as locally as possible. This  area of the Shropshire Marches leads the way with its wealth of local produce and the Fishmore chefs make it their business to work with fresh, seasonal produce building relationships with local producers to bring the very best to the restaurant table. The 7-course Taster Menu is unmissable.

Fishmore Hall makes a delightful venue for weddings of all sizes and holds a civil wedding licence. The restaurant can accommodate up to 80 for a wedding breakfast, there is plenty of parking and a large lawn is ideal for a marquee for larger events. Fishmore has a dedicated wedding coordinator to help couples plan their day and the hotel can be taken over for an Exclusive Use event.

Fishmore can also accommodate delegates wanting a luxurious and peaceful location for conferences and meetings. Full business facilities are available, as are teambuilding events which can take place at an outward bound centre or be delivered to the hotel.
