As a fun and informative cookery team building activity you can spend time with the Taku Chefs Ms Schröter and her team, whilst preparing Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese and Malaysian meals instructed by the professionals.
Afterwards you can enjoy your self-made meals at the restaurant Taku and every participant receives their own Taku-Apron and a personal culinary book, where you can look after you latest recipes.

Other unusual team building options include an afternoon of Fencing tuition where a Fencing master will teach the group
the art of fencing during a seminar in one of the ballrooms. The group learns the basics of modern foil fencing, as well as helping to develop competitiveness and team spirit. The highlight of the day is a tournament and
presentation ceremony.

estaurant ‘Taku’ derives its name from the Japanese word meaning ‘inn’.
It is Cologne’s first dedicated Asian restaurant providing Asian cuisine from Japan, China, Thailand and Vietnam.

The Piano Bar at the Excelsior Hotel Ernst is a hidden gem in Cologne. You can enjoy cocktails, champagne or coffee
in the bar which is located only a few metres from the Cathedral – the perfect way to avoid the city
rush. During the day, the Piano Bar offers coffee and tea specialties overseen by Tea master Andrea Helbig, as well as patisserie and cakes. In the evening, bar manager Luis de Gouveia and his team mix traditional and unique
cocktails while you relax to the sound of the piano. The menu offers cooked meals until midnight.The Hotel also provides guests with a dedicated Fitness Suite including a sauna and steam room and refreshing monsoon
